Animal Rescuers
Unit Overview: We share our world with many different animals — from the
pets we care for at home to the wild creatures we see on television or in
books. In this unit, children imagine travelling around the world to visit exciting
places and meet the animals that live there. They learn how to help animals
feel happy and safe, and even hear some of their amazing stories! Are your
learners ready to pack their bags for an unforgettable adventure?
Theme: Movement
Learning Blocks: All About Us, Dance In Culture, Dance With Props, Cool Down

Big Movers
Unit Overview: Movement is so important in the early years. In this unit,
children explore how and why their bodies move and how it feels when they
do. Through playful and creative movement, they discover more about
themselves and how others move in their community and around the world.
They learn that we are all the same yet wonderfully different and celebrate
how movement and dance can bring people together.
Theme: Earth and space
Learning Blocks: Meet the Moonbeams, Space Camp, Space Explorers, Planet
Moonbeam
Blast Off!
Unit Overview: Have your children noticed that at night, the sky looks
different? They may see the moon and stars shining brightly. Have they ever
imagined what it might be like to go on a journey to the moon and among the
stars? What might they find? Who, if anyone, might be living there? What is the
moon made of? Take your learners on a journey through space to find out!
Theme: Inventions and development
Learning Blocks: Which One Shall We Choose?, Changing the Outside ,
Changing the Inside, Giving it Power!
Busy Builders
Unit Overview: Young children are naturally curious about how things are
built. As humans, we are always looking to build, create and improve. Both the
natural and man-made worlds offer opportunities to explore and examine
constructions and their purpose. In this unit, children harness their curiosity to
plan and explore a new building — researching, making decisions, working as a
team and transforming something old into something new.

find out more about these amazing creatures. Get ready to take your learners
on an exciting adventure!
Theme: Sound & Music

something they need to 'activate', it is something they can simply experience,
explore and enjoy.

the World
Going Places
Unit Overview: A journey can start at any time and take you to exciting places.

learners today?

IPC Core Subscription
The IPC provides teachers with thematic units of learning, which outline subject tasks
and activities that ensure the delivery of the IPC in the classroom, guided by the
underpinning research inherent in its design.
IPC units are designed around ‘mileposts’
The units of learning are specifically designed for each ’milepost’ on appealing themes
that provide age-appropriate learning. A ‘milepost’ is two years of learning driven by
comprehensive, detailed Learning Goals. There are three mileposts across six years of
primary schooling (MP1, MP2 and MP3).
A range of subjects are included in each thematic unit, and the IPC is further enhanced
by shorter subject-focused units for Art, Music and PE. There are also STEM and STEAM
units which connect Science, Technology and Mathematics and develop problem-
solving, collaboration, communication, and creative thinking skills. They are indicated by
the following symbols:
Each unit of learning has been carefully developed to support teachers to bring the IPC
to life in their classrooms, with a focus on improving learning for all.
The IPC Core Subscription includes 80 units of learning along with PD Tokens that can
be used for online professional development and more. Schools with a Core
Subscription can choose to upgrade and gain access to all available units of learning for
a one-off upgrade fee. Click a unit on the next page to view the summary.
